What is our story?

Coming home... back to Easton after over twenty five years, Heather Stirner Nutting returns to the Karl Stirner Arts Building where she formerly owned and operated The Easton Academy of Dance. Heather and her husband, Mark Nutting, first met in NYC at the Pumping Iron Gym following Heather's return to the States after living in Paris dancing professionally. Having suffered a broken back, Heather was inspired by her rehabilitation process and how fitness training was essential to her recovery. Coincidentally, Mark, was a fitness trainer with a degree in exercise science who came to NYC to pursue a love of theatre and dance. Mark became Heather's husband and fitness mentor. Together they ran the in-house personal trainer school for Town Sports International - (New York Sports Clubs, Boston Sports Clubs, Philadelphia Sports Clubs, and Washington Sports Clubs).

Both are skilled national fitness presenters. Having been in health club management for larger clubs, they have decided to create a fitness solution that focuses on human connection and nurturing support, while still delivering the most current and effective programs available.

People know they should exercise, they know they should eat better, but where should they start?

Jiva Fitness will help you find the answers.

In Loving Memory

It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce that Heather passed away after battling lung cancer for almost two years on February 19th 2022. As a non-smoker, athlete, who ate healthfully and had no family history, we were all astounded when she was diagnosed at the age of 57. She kept working out every day that she was able. Her loss is a loss for so many people whose lives she touched and we will miss her every day. Her desire to help people live healthier, more vibrant lives will live on. We, at Jiva, will continue her legacy and offer help and guidance to those in need.
